Pulling out of the Motel in Salome at midnight it was actually still quite warm.\u00a0 I was quite comfortable riding in a short sleeved t-shirt.\u00a0 It was a moonless night, and being able to easily see the stars and actually see the milky way was distracting enough that I had to resist the urge to look at the sky instead of the road. <\/p>\n
By the time I got to the California border it was actually cooling off??\u00a0 I started layering up and by the time I got through Palm Springs I had everything on but my rain suit.\u00a0 It wasn’t really cold out but at 75 miles per hour – 50 is pretty cold.\u00a0 I rolled into the driveway here at home at 5:30.\u00a0 I warmed up after a 35 minute shower & promptly took a nap.<\/p>\n
