\nMeet John – John is a friend of Rich’s from Hawaii.\u00a0 I’ve ridden several thousand miles with John over the years, he is a great guy, and I consider him a friend of mine as well.\u00a0 You might have noticed that even though John is wearing his electric clothes, he is still in flip flops (although he is wearing thermal socks).\u00a0 Those crazy Hawaiians….<\/p>\n

John thought this ride to Alaska would be a great adventure – I wonder what he’ll think when it’s all said and done.<\/p>\n

\nMy riding buddies and my view as I ride.\u00a0 They both like to ride in the #2 and end spots which works out just fine with me because as you probably know.\u00a0 I’m most likely going to be the front bike.<\/p>\n

\nWe added a bit to our third day of riding just so we could start at Mile Zero of the Alaskan Highway.\u00a0 If you’re going to go to all the trouble to go there you at least need a picture to prove it.\u00a0 I do have a picture of me on the bike there but this one is a little better.<\/p>\n

Things were still nice and warm at this point but that didn’t last too long.<\/p>\n

\nThis is what I look like when I’m dressed for the cold.\u00a0 I have electric gloves, socks, and jacket liner.\u00a0 Additionally, rain pants to cut the wind, a leather jacket and wind proof face and neck gaiter.\u00a0 All in all, it’s quite enough to stay warm – except for my knees, but I figured a solution for that as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
